Charlottesville: A note to the racists and fascists – Still Black & Proud

Seeing the racists ‘come out to play’ in Charlottesville makes me sad & angry at same time. Is this 2017?Seeing Trump today ‘condemning’ the racist violence and murder of an innocent woman doesn’t make me feel any better about it.  This statement has come too, too late!  But I’m also thinking- can us black British be sure that it will never happen in the UK ? Racists are racists and hate is hate no matter where you go, but can us British say that we will never see this fascist terrorism happening on our streets?

Could ‘Charlottesville’ ever happen in the UK?

Because we have our race problems too – young black men in prison & mental health system, single mothers, being underrepresented in certain parts of society – especially lacking in being in ‘seats of power’ – the list goes on; yes we have our problems too. So although we have a different lifestyle, I can’t judge America but just keep hoping it doesn’t happen in the UK….

A note to the Charlottesville racists, fascists & others:

Tell the racists, fascists or anyone else who can’t handle our fabulous blackness – Our black pride won’t ever go away! #Charlottesville #Afrowomanonline #Blackwomenrising #Blackpeoplerising
