Dear Black women you know I wrote a Blog a short while ago that pomegranates are so good for you. You might still wonder – why bother eating them? Well here’s your re-cap:

  • High in vitamin C
  • Antioxidants – vitamins A and E
  • Iron
  • other antioxidants
  • Helping to protect against heart disease and high blood pressure

Don’t forget, it’s suspected’ that the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant nature of pomegranates is what really can help us; especially when our hormones are going up and down!

How do I cut a pomegranate?

But they are not easy to cut, so here’s 3 simple videos below I made to help you!

Get the chopping board and be careful with the sharp knife! But start by cutting a square in the top.

Then at each corner of the square, cut a line downwards (in a slicing action).

From here you can pull the slice(s) out of the pomegranate and scrape out the seeds. I find a fork helps and use a bowl because it can get a bit messy!

Go ahead and enjoy a pomegranate for your health and your taste buds and let me know what you think 🙂
