Black girl Ballerinas – Something we don’t see enough of! …

I saw this news report on the BBC and had to write a Blog about it. Misty Copeland is a Black American Ballerina and is the lead in Swan Lake, at the Kennedy Centre, Washington DC.

We know that ballerina’s are usually seen as white and Ballet is not seen as a past-time that black people are interested in or take part in. Well now this is wrong and here’s proof! Misty is truly broken a barrier and blazing a trail for those little black girls who want to be in Swan Lake too!
