I have worked in HR since 2004 so I have a wealth of experience. Here is my Start up profile:

I currently provide HR support to busy and ambitious business owners specifically through my online shop. My signature offer is HR ‘set-up’ packs. These packs provide essential templates and policies and are a cost-effective way to build your HR function from scratch, while avoiding all the possible legal pitfalls.

I created my business because I know how challenging it can be as a business owner and I want to use my extensive experience in HR to help. I know the types of problems and issues that keep us up and night, and by providing simple and cost-effective HR to small business owners, I’d like to think that I am helping to lighten the load in some way and giving them one less thing to worry about. That’s something we can all appreciate!

Advice for Black women with Start ups & Side Hustles

My advice for anyone thinking to start a business is this; perseverance is key. It’s not easy and sometimes you WILL want to give up. Keep going. Look to others for support and use whatever resources are available to you.

Invest in your business, because if you don’t then no one else will and when you get to a stage where you can; delegate and/or outsource.

Don’t wait until everything is perfect such as the website, office, product etc. I just started with a laptop. Everything else will come (although make sure you have a decent accountant!).
