For your goals – How do you measure your progress?
You know I go to the gym as much as I can. I won’t say I enjoy it while I’m there but the feeling I get afterwards – clearer skin and reducing stress. I always feel so much better for doing a workout. But recently I’ve been looking at where I can upgrade my workouts. Lifting heavier and moving faster. Breathing deeper and stretching. Whether that’s on the machine or at a yoga/Pilates class.
So, increasing the slope while I’m on the treadmill is where I’ve recently been focusing. As you can see in my short video below, it’s making the treadmill slope a bit more. So that it feels like I’m walking up a hill.
Reaching your goals – one step at a time
But it made me think about how we measure progress in any of our goals. I know that I try to make progress with a ‘one bit at a time’. Using a mix of focus with on checking in with myself and rewarding myself for progress. On the other hand, it can be easy to get stuck at the level you’re at. I guess that’s being stuck in a comfort zone.
So, whether it’s your fitness and health goals, building your business or any other area of your life – I hope my short video of me increasing the slope on the treadmill will encourage you to keep on going.
You may feel a bit lost along the way. Some days you might be fed-up and want to give up. But pace yourself. Take your steps towards your goals and plans. Keep on moving in the direction that’s taking you to a better life.
You got this 🙂
